토론토 컬리지 입학 시험 _ 영어 에세이 작성 하는 법.

토론토 컬리지는 입학 조건이 크게 3가지 이다. (인터네셔널 기준)

첫째. IELT 6.5 이상시 입학 가능.

둘째. 학교와 연계 된 어학원에서 진행하는 패스웨이 과정 수료.

셋째. 입학 관련 자체 시험 합격.

 

금일은 컬리지 자체 시험 합격에 대해 설명하겠다.

우선 학교마다 조건은 다르다. 토론토에서 유명한 컬리지의 경우 첫째와 둘째 과정만 인정 되고 자체 시험이 없는 학교가 있으니 확인 하길 바란다.

 

 

 한국인이 가장 많이 찾는 조지브라운 컬리지의 자체시험 경우 리딩과 라이팅(에세이 작성)으로 두가지를 테스트 한다. 

리딩의 경우 시간 제한이 없지만 라이팅의 경우 시간 제한은 90분 이며 350자 이상 작성 하여야 한다. (모니터에 글자 수 확인 가능)

그리고 라이팅의 경우 수기 작성 or 컴퓨터 타이핑 두가지 중 하나를 선택 할 수 있으며 영영사전이 제공 된다. 

 

 

 

공과 계열로 유명한 센테니얼 컬리지는 리스닝, 리딩, 라이팅으로 리스닝이 추가 된다.

리스닝의 경우 문제와 보기 또한 리스닝 하여야 하며 총 3번까지 청취 가능 하다. 

리딩의 경우 조지브라운과 마찬가지로 시간 제한이 없다, 하지만 라이팅의 경우 무조건 컴퓨터 타이핑으로만 응시 가능하며

시간 제한은 50분이며 350자 이상 작성하여야 한다. (글자수 확인 가능)

 

센테니얼 컬리지의 경우 자체적으로 리스닝 교육이 가능하니 참고 바람.

 

간혹 시험의 난이도에 대해 문의 하는 분들이 있으나 난이도는 센테니얼 사이트에서 가장 어려운 난이도로 5개중 4개를 맞춘다면 리스닝 시험시 문제는 없을 것이다 .

 

그러면 가장 큰 문제는 라이팅 이다. 

아래 에세이는 영어 포기자인 본인이 직접 작성하여 많이 부족하지만 혹여라도 자체시험 에세이를 어떤식으로 작성해야 하는지 궁금해 하는 분들을 위해 부끄럽지만 공유해본다.

 

주제는 동물 실험에 대해 찬성이냐 반대에 대한 나의 주장이며 아래 내용은 나의 의견과 무관하게

Do people have a phobia about the hospital? A lot of people get disease in their life, 

and people lose their family because of the disease whoever there are.

Therefore, people want to live in a world without disease.

Like this, health is the most important in people’s life.

Even at this moment, a lot of people are painful dying from an incurable disease, which have not solved.

Thus, people do animal testing to find  a solution. People know this situation is cruel, but

through this they are developing and finding the new solution.

Therefore, it goes without saying that animal testing is important for people.

There are two main factors to support this point of view: treatment and prevention

 

  

  To begin with, people are having many incurable diseases, which  can not cure. 

That is the reason why people need a lot of animal testing.

Therefore, it takes a lot of tests and sacrifices to find new solutions, 

which are being found by the animal testing.  

 

  On top of that, people are already taking medicine, which has been verified by the animal tested.

As such, people take drugs that have been confirmed through animal testing and prevents health problems. 

Moreover, food also has been verified by the animal testing about if people can eat or not whatever it is.

 

 

  In conclusion, people need something instead of humans for tests.

Even at this moment, a lot of people disagree about the animal testing

if people tested human to find solution, people would have caused more issue than animal in society 

People must respect the precious animals lives and must not do a reckless animal testing whoever they are.

People should be responsible for all this. 

 

다시 봐도 정말 손발이 오므라드는 글이다. 단순하게 내용과 글자 수를 체우기 위해 작성한 부분이니 다시 한번

자체시험은 여러 에세이를 많이 보다 보면 어떠한 주제가 나오더라도 쉽게 작성하는 요령이 생기니 

앞으로 이처럼 완전 초보식의 에세이와 좀 더 고급진 문장으로 작성된 에세이를 올리도록 하겠다.
